ABOUT THE POSITION

GTN Technical Staffing is currently seeking a Data Architect/Data Modeler to join a rapidly growing company located in Dallas, TX. This position will require somebody who has built a data warehouse from scratch. The Data Architect/Data Modeler will work with stakeholders to translate business requirements into data models that integrate with the overall logical data warehouse, which has yet to be defined. This individual will work closely with stakeholders and managers to define, document, and apply business rules to enterprise data. You will be responsible for defining business data requirements and creating logical and physical data models. They will also assist as needed in the design and development of ETL standards, policies, procedures, and metadata to ensure accuracy, quality, integrity, and optimization of this information. This position will also require researching and documenting data requirements for designing database models that facilitate reporting, analytics and business intelligence.

- Data analyses/design and solution architecture for DW applications.
- Creation of conceptual, logical and physical database models
- Maintain quality of data in the warehouse, ensuring: integrity of data in the warehouse, correcting any data problems, data currency, establish design procedures to purge/archive old data
- Ensure design meets the requirements. Source data from Legacy systems that are to be loaded into the warehouse; provide extracts of data from the warehouse back to operational systems
- Source data analysis/profiling where necessary to support ETL design.
- Work closely with ETL developers to assist them with development life cycle.
- Ensure necessary metadata repositories are developed for all initiatives and ensure these meet current needs and provide flexibility for future growth.
- Ensure that documentation is created, meets standards, and is properly maintained according to established standards and procedures, to facilitate ongoing support and maintenance.
- Provide technical leadership and guide team members.
- Elicit requirements and translate the requirements into models by building conceptual, logical and physical data models.
- Involved in data roadmap, current/target state for enterprise data.
