BI/Datawarehouse Architect

The JDC Group is recruiting for a BI/Datawarehouse Architect to join the team of one of our premier Atlanta clients. Located in Alpharetta, this is one of the most visible brand's in their industry and a virtual household name. This is a long-term contract consulting opportunity (minimum 6-month but could extend to 12months +). The BI/Datawarehouse Architect's role is to strategically design and implement data warehouses, data marts, and data stores, while ensuring high levels of data availability. This individual is also responsible for defining data standards and models for warehouse architectures. In addition, the BI/Datawarehouse Architect will evaluate and recommend, in conjunction with the IT department, infrastructure components such as software, hardware, database management systems, and networking capabilities.

Successful candidates will possess,

- 10+ years technical experience designing, building, installing, configuring and supporting multi-terabyte data warehouses;
- 7-10 years experience with database platforms, including Oracle, SAP BW, and SQL Server;
- Strong understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles, and practices related to data warehousing including, but not limited to, OLAP, Data Modeling, Data Mining, Data Archiving, Reporting, Analytics and ETL;
- 10+ years of hands-on experience with data architecting, data mining, large-scale data modelling, and business requirements gathering/analysis;
- In-depth technical knowledge of network, PC, and platform operating systems such as Unix and Windows;
- 5+ years working knowledge of technologies and standards related to the following: Informatica, IBM Data Stage, IBM Quality Stage, SAP BW, Oracle, Business Objects;
- Good knowledge of data privacy practices and laws; particularly as it pertains to Healthcare Information Technology.
