BI Consultant (sr)

For our client, one of the leading international Energy companies in the Northern and Eastern part of Europe, we are currently looking for:

BI CONSULTANT

ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTION:

For this assignment you will work in a dynamic environment where data is everything. Our client is in the progress of implementing a data driven company and working with the latest technologies. As part of that, they are in progress of renewing their CRM software. The company's CRM software is linked closely with its Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence solutions. To support the CRM project, we are looking for an EXPERIENCED BI CONSULTANT who can help delivering on the ambition of the client.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Do changes and projects on the Business Intelligence Platform and Data warehouse environment (based on Oracle).

o Identify data in source systems and map data to the BI/DWH environment

o Pin-point data quality gaps and develop a plan to close these gaps

o Create functional design and technical documentation

o Design and build ETL processes in the platform according to development standards

o Do PL/SQL coding

o Perform unit testing and integration testing

o Support the business with UAT

o Prepare and perform go-live activities

o Do handing over to the Platform maintenance team

- Work closely with source system team members (SAP ISU, CRM, Genesys)
- Working according the requirements of a project manager and other IT departments and key business users of the platform.
- Maintain documentation of software solutions, configuration, and program modifications according to departmental standards to ensure compliance.

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

- Extensive knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL knowledge
- Extensive knowledge of data warehousing principles, including dimensional and data vault modelling.
- Key competency in troubleshooting issues, process chains, and extraction and transformation loads (PL/SQL coding and debugging skills a plus)
- Experienced in requirements gathering and writing Functional and Technical designs.
- Experienced in developing and configuring in Oracle PL/SQL
- Experienced in optimizing query tuning and loading performance
- Partners well with business and functional analysts to interpret business reporting requirements and design accurate and stable technical solutions
- Experienced in agile way of working, data as an asset and data-driven platforms
- Nice to have knowledge of Cognos or similar reporting tools
- Nice to have knowledge of Oracle APEXBasic understanding of business processes in the energy industry
- Fluent in English and Dutch language skills (B1+/B2)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

- More than 7 years of experience in Oracle PL/SQL development
- More than 7 years of experience in Business Intelligence and Data warehousing
- Minimum of Bachelor degree in computer sciences
