BI Consultant - Power BI

Reporting specialist with Power BI experience

The challenge for the business is to process the enormous amount of data from multiple different systems and create usable insights. The company is currently improving it's big data/data lake environment. We are setting-up a BI scrum team to deliver KPI dashboards, advanced analytics, explorative insights and predictive models.

The main task of the reporting specialist is:

- Developing reports in PowerBI, functional/ergonomically sound and user friendly
- Clearing up reporting requirements from the business
- Translating reporting requirements in an adequate standard reporting approach
- Translating reporting requirements into report mockups
- Create functional & technical designs for reports
- Translate requirements that come from reporting needs by the business into data preparation requirements
- Deliver reporting meta data

Required experience:

- Experienced in and willing to work 'agile' (we use scrum and work in sprints)
- Able to work with a team of data engineers and understand the technical context of their work
- Able to challenge and consult the business
- Able to define data models for reporting
- Experience with Metadata Management and Metadata Products
- Hands-on pragmatic attitude
- Self-driven on projects with provided requirements
