BI Consultant
Our customer manages the electricity transmission network in Belgium but also plays a key role at the European level.
Our customer is the manager of the high voltage electricity transmission network from 30,000 to 380,000 volts. This represents more than 8,600 km of underground lines and cables spread across the country. A vital role for the community since our company transports electricity from producers to the distribution networks so that it can be forwarded to each consumer. A key mission for the economy as well, since our network directly supplies, among others, the large companies connected to it.
Due to its geographical position in the heart of Europe, our customer is also a key player in the energy market and the interconnected electricity grid. Our company is behind several initiatives to develop an efficient, transparent and fair electricity market for the benefit of consumers.
To carry out its day-to-day mission and meet the challenges of tomorrow, our customer now has more than 1,300 committed professionals in Belgium who manage a network considered to be one of the most reliable in Europe.
Mission description:
As part of a Business Intelligence team, we are looking for an additional BI consultant specializing in SQL Server technologies (SSIS/SSAS/SSRS). The team develops and maintains several BI solutions mainly focused on data warehousing and analytics. Based on Business Requirements, the implementation team, the BI architect and the project manager jointly design the solution and present it to the applicants. This solution is then carried out by the BI developers and checked before being delivered to obtain a business feedback and finally deployed.
Familiar and experienced with the concepts and projects of data warehouse, ETL, cubes and reports.
Significant prior experience in SQL (creation of tables and views, tuning of performances, ...)
Significant prior experience with SSIS and SSAS (MDX, calculations, ...)
Able to enrich a business application in IT solution
Experience with Microsoft BI Self-Service Solution (BI) component tools is an added advantage.
Some notions about Machine Learning is a plus.
Able to prepare and run tests.
Able to share and explain his/her ideas as well as to confront them with the rest of the team. (Collaboration)
Communicates with other project stakeholders in case of doubts or technical or business issues
Enriched existing documentation
Communicates with other project stakeholders to ensure a smooth flow of information
Able to work independently and ready to support every stage of development and deployment.

Knowledge of English
o Specifications are provided in English
o Technical discussions are held in English
o The technical documentation should be written by the profile above in English
o Collaboration with members of the project team from French, Dutch, German and Portuguese.
Work in a team of about 10 people
