BI Consultant

Fantastic opportunity for a Dutch speaking BI Consultant working on site for a huge retail company based near Antwerp, Belgium

The BI Consultant is primarily responsible for development and/or implementation of high qualitative reporting and analysis solutions. This covers activities like data management, data integration (ETL), cube and report development. The BI Consultant must be able to conduct a functional design of the required Data Warehouse structure (cfr. Kimball principles) and has a thorough knowledge of relational databases and she/he is familiar with SQL as well as multi dimensional models (cubes).

ROLE

The duties include on a non limitative basis:

- Participate in the definition and implementation of BI projects or BI solutions development
- Design of database models and/or possible interfaces to the data warehouse
- Development of ETL in SSIS
- Development of OLAP Cubes in SSAS
- Development of Reporting Framework, Standard Reports, Scorecards, Management dashboards, etc. in Cognos 10
- Being able to provide end-user training in using developed BI solutions.

PROFILE

The ideal candidate:

- Has a passion for Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing;
- Graduated in Computer Sciences (university and/or graduate) or similar through experience;
- Has at least 3 to 5 years' experience as a BI and/or a data warehousing consultant
- Has experience with SQL server SSIS and SSAS(2008-2012)
- Has knowledge of T-SQL, MDX
- Has experience with Multi Dimensional Modelling
- Has relevant experience with Cognos
- Conceptual knowledge of ETL process and functions
- Knowledge of a Datamodelling tool, or Powerdesigner in specific, is an asset
- Has good communication skills (Dutch/English)
