BI Business Analyst and Report Writer

Business Analytics and Data Operations at the world's leading computer components company is seeking a Business Reporting Analyst to provide reports from the following systems: Aprimo, SAP CRM, and the company's data warehouse. In addition the individual will be providing work business process auditing.

The Reporting Analyst role will require running various reports using Cognos, Aprimo and SAP CRM reporting systems, working with stakeholders to understand the data and information they require, extracting the data and providing it to in an excel report. Key skills: Data analysis, query, strong Excel skills using pivot tables and linking data, analyst skills including communications, problem solving. 40% of the reports are routine reports. The remainder requires ad hoc analysis to meet the stakeholder's request.

Business Process Auditing: Detailed orientation ability to follow specific instructions, identify compliance or variance issues, excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to learn quickly. The auditing will rely on extracting data and comparing it to specific standards, identifying data quality issues and the source of those issues.

Daily Responsibilities: Review report requests, develop finished reports, set priorities Managing aspects of data operations including data quality monitors and managing flow of information/inputs from data suppliers.

QUALIFICATIONS

- 2-4 years of experience with a BA or Master's or equivalent in Business Intelligence, Statistics, or Database Management
- Attention to detail and ability to follow specific instructions
- Advanced Excel skills: pivot tables, vlookup, power pivot
- Analysis and problem solving skills used to analyze data, work through business process issues and identify data quality issues
- Superior Excel skills, data problem solving and quality improvement experience
- Statistical and or Econometric experience to drive and create new analytics for the group
- Experience working with enterprise data warehouses, SQL Server and ETL preferred
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders

Data Support/Research/Maintain:

- TFS 2010 experience
- Knowledge of TFS infrastructure
- Basic SQL Skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, SQL Server and Active Directory
- Visual Studio 2010

Reporting:

- Cognos Product Family professional - analytics solutions
- Cognos 10: Create reports (including active reports), dashboards, and other analytical offerings using report studio, business insight advanced, Cognos Insight, Query Studio, Analysis Studio and CAFÉ
- TM1 (version 10) - create deploy, and support planning and forecasting solutions
- SPSS (desired)
- Design, install, configure, deploy, and operate BI tools
- Troubleshoot BI tool problems and tunes for performance
- Develop multidimensional semantic layer and BI query objects for end users
- SAP Business Objects Analytics Solutions

Nice to have:

- Great customer interface skills
- Previous experience with Intel and our EDW.
