BI/Reporting Architect
Mission Description:
Within the framework of the initiation of a project to improve the possibilities and the ease of reporting of HR management; we are looking for an external consultant in the role of architect BI.
The mission, for which we are looking for an additional resource, concerns the following tasks:
"Understanding business needs",
"Decomposition of the project into independent data issues",
"Synthesis of the data concerned",
"Analysis of solutions to these problems".
The consultant will have to discuss with the stakeholders and work on existing documents to reformulate the business demands in specific challenges and problems for IT and to synthesize the data families (frequencies, supplier, format, ...) encountered in the project. Once the issues have been resolved, the consultant will propose various possible solutions to solve them and analyze their strengths and weaknesses. This analysis will also need to look at the partial solutions existing within Elia and see if it is wise to continue building on it. All the work is to be carried out at a level of global architecture and must propose a high level architecture but concrete as well at the data level as BI.
The consultant will work under the supervision of the internal architect and exchange with him on a regular basis in order to take into account the information provided by the latter. The consultant will organize the workshops with the various stakeholders and will also be in charge of writing the study according to an imposed format.
Description of service:
* Familiar and experienced with Data & Information or BI projects in companies
* Capable of working independently and ready to take charge of each stage of the mission
* Supports the stress of being confronted with an exchange of ideas with other members of the team
* Supports the collection of business needs proactively: does not stop to copy the request but challenges the why of this request by adapting to the profile of its interlocutor
* Is able to distinguish the problem from a solution
* Demonstrates a spirit of synthesis, clear and precise
* Knowledge of modern BI and reporting architectures including BI self-service
* Challenges data flow and persistence across enterprise
* Can work at a high level of architecture while remaining concrete
Additional Requirements:
* Knowledge of English
o Documents to be written in English
o Collaboration with project team members mainly in English
* Knowledge of French or Dutch for contacts with stakeholders
