BI ANALYST (ODS & DWH)
DURATION: 1 year + - to start between now and mid-January (whenever candidate is available in that time)
LANGUAGES: Dutch mandatory
RATE: 500 euro
LOCATION: Brussels
LANGUAGE: Fluent (written & verbal) in Dutch, good knowledge of English OR French
As a BI analyst (ODS & DWH) you will be part of the ODS & DWH team which is responsible for the successful delivery of data and information to the organization, both within the context of projects as within the context of optimization activities.
EXPERIENCE:
- BI ANALYSIS (ODS & DWH)
- Medior or senior profile
- Proven experience regarding functional analysis within a BI environment
- Experience/Notion of SQL Server BI environment is an asset
- Knowledge of DWH principles and dimensional modelling is an asset
- Experience in the energy sector is a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The BI Analyst (ODS & DWH) will gather and examine business and IT needs for data and information
- Translate these needs into functional and architectural designs
- Create reporting prototypes to define the correct requirements
- The BI Analyst (ODS & DWH) will define flexible and pragmatic data models (conceptual, logical, physical) and architectures that can adequately support the overall enterprise architecture and business needs
- Define the work to be done, split it up into smaller pieces and keep overview of the implementation
- The BI Analyst (ODS & DWH) will Document existing components and reports
- Assist in the development of strategic plans for data capture, retention and integration
- Support continuous improvement effort by identifying technology and process improvements
- The BI Analyst (ODS & DWH) will Support end users and train them if necessary
SKILLS & ATTITUDES: Fluent (written & verbal) in Dutch, good knowledge of English and French. Able to put things on paper (high level picture as well as detailed specifications) & Effective organizing skills (affinity with project management) & Able to bring structure for yourself and others
Problem solving skills with focus on sustainable solutionscan-do mentality & Autonomous, but seeks help/contact when required
