BI Analyst Developer - 3 years freelance contract - Brussels

One of our important client is looking for a BI Analyst Developer for 3 years freelance contract in Brussels. The daily rate is negotiable.

MISSION/FUNCTION DESCRIPTION

The consultant's main tasks will consist in assisting the client' Business Intelligence specialists with:

- Implementation of ETL-processes based on BODS for the Datawarehouse
- Advice on setting up the BODS-ETL-infrastructure, and its integration within the existing client IT infrastructure.
- Knowledge transfer to the client Business Intelligence specialists on BODS, including advice on best practices.
- BOXI Universe and report design, testing and user support

LANGUAGES

- Good knowledge of Dutch and French.
- Capable of writing documentation in English.

EXPERIENCE

- In depth knowledge of Datawarehouse and Business Intelligence concepts, incl. dimensional modelling, star schema design and the definition of ETL-processes.
- Experience with analysing & developing SAP BI Platform universes at least 3 years'
- In depth knowledge and at least 3 years' experience with Business Objects Data Services (BODS) 4.2 SP06 or later.
- Experience with end user support for BO reporting
- Experience as BI Analyst at least 3 years'
- In depth knowledge of relational database systems and writing performant query's, with at least 3 years' experience with SQL Server.
- Experience in a large enterprise, treating large volumes of data and writing performant query's is considered as an advantage.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE

- Business Objects Data Services (4.2 SP06 or higher)
- Working with relational databases and writing performant SQL instructions for Microsoft SQL Server
- Working with relational databases and writing performant SQL instructions for Oracle
- Dimensional Datamodelling
- SAP Business Objects BI Platform Universe/Report design (4.2)
- Databases: SQL Server, Oracle, other
- Knowledge of SAS development and VB.NET is considered as an advantage.
- The chosen candidate will also act as a coach towards the client Business Intelligence specialists and should as such have good communication skills.
