BI Analyst (Business Objects) at EU Institutions in Brussels

The business intelligence analyst will be responsible for the gathering of business requirements for the analysis of data and reporting tools, data mining, user acceptance testing, validation and enhancements of reporting tools. A close cooperation with the directorates and its delegations will be the key success of campaigns.

The senior consultant will join the team 'data analysis, accounting and sub-delegations'.

Nature of the tasks

- Gathering business requirements
- Development of data mining solutions
- Data modelling
- Elaboration of user acceptance testing programs/scenarios
- Understanding of the business of EuropeAid
- Close cooperation with the other teams of the unit ' reporting/activity based management' and 'business management'
- Drafting of documents and reports
- Participation in meetings with the project teams

Knowledge and skills

- In depth knowledge of business intelligence reporting tools of large organization administrative business processes
- Knowledge of business analysis tools
- In-depth knowledge of SQL
- Ability to apply high quality standards
- Good knowledge of modelling tools
- Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in application developments
- Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings, excellent communicator
- Capability of integration in multi-cultural environment and rapid self-starting capability and expertise in working in teams
- Excellent organisational skills
- Good knowledge of the functioning of the EU institutions, in particularly of the EU external relations
- Good knowledge of the Project Cycle Management

The candidate should have in-depth knowledge and proven experience in the field of business intelligence analysis and data quality management framework. The candidate should also be an excellent communicator.

The candidate must be fluent in French and/or English. He/she should also be able to work with documents both in French and English.

The candidate should also master following technologies:

- MS-Office in particular excel
- MS-Project
- Business Objects

Following expertise is considered as an asset:

- knowledge of EDF and EU General Budget financial and accounting processes
- Business knowledge of financial IT systems such as CRIS and/or ABAC (commission accounting systems)
- Knowledge of SAS
- Knowledge of QlikView
- Knowledge of JIRA
