BI Analyst

JOB TITLE: ANALYST - BI: TERADATA, BUSINESS OBJECTS, TABLEAU
JOB LOCATION: CORK, IRELAND, UK
JOB TYPE: CONTRACT

THE RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIRED SKILLS ARE AS FOLLOWS:

Technically strong and experienced in the area of data warehousing and Business Intelligence (Teradata, Business Objects, Tableau) with an ability to work across functional areas
Elicit requirements using interviews, data discovery, prototyping. Document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.
Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information
Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed: (Functional Requirements Document, Use Cases, GUI, Screen and Interface designs).
Utilize prior experience in using enterprise-wide requirements definition and management systems and methodologies required.
Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously ensuring all are delivered to the highest quality.
Work independently with users to define concepts and under direction of project managers.
Strong analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements, which consistently exceed the customer's expectations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
Serves as the conduit between the internal and external customers, and the software development team through which requirements flow, establishing themselves as a key point of contact for the business and a business area expert for the development teams.
Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision with the objective of delighting customers with innovative solutions to their needs.
Be the liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams.
Lead the Functional testing efforts and support users during User Acceptance Testing.
Ensures issues are identified tracked and reported on and resolved in a timely manner within projects and with application support teams post implementation.
Support the business post live as required.
