MY GOVERNMENT SECTOR CLIENT IS LOOKING TO RECRUIT A BENEFITS MANAGER FOR AN INITIAL 4 MONTH CONTRACT (WITH OPTION TO EXTEND) BASED IN LONDON.
DESCRIPTION
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Contribute to ensuring benefits are aligned to the department's strategic outcomes; Contribute to ensuring that the benefits map illustrates the relationship between outcomes and outputs so that realisation between the benefits can be mapped and tracked; Ensure that benefits are sufficiently defined and appropriate means of measurement are in place in order that benefits can be tracked across the lifetime of the programme; Tracking benefits across the lifetime of the programme utilising appropriate tools and techniques; Supporting development and maturing of the Benefits Realisation Strategy and Plan; Planning and execution of benefits realisation
KEY TASKS AND DELIVERABLES
- The post holder will work across a number of projects and be responsible for ensuring that appropriate means of measurement are in place so that benefits realisation is planned and executed for all benefits identified in project business cases.
Main duties, responsibilities & experience
- Contribute to ensuring that benefits are aligned to the department's strategic outcomes.
- Produce an overarching benefit map and contribute to ensuring that the benefits map illustrates the relationship between outcomes and outputs so that realisation between the benefits can be mapped and tracked.
- Ensure that benefits are sufficiently defined and that appropriate means of measurement are in place.
- Track benefits across the lifetime of the programme and projects utilising appropriate tools and techniques.
- Support the development and maturing of a benefits realisation strategy and plan and execute the plan.
- Identify, develop and embed best practice in benefits tracking.
- Conduct master classes in benefits identification and tracking and develop an up-skilling strategy for the improvement of benefits realisation within the organisation.
- Work closely with the business case writer and project teams to ensure that appropriate benefits are identified in business cases so that benefits realisation is planned and executed. The successful candidate must have the ability to write clearly and concisely and adept at communicating complex analytical information according to the needs of the audience-up to Board level.
The successful candidate will be required to undertake security clearance.
