Benefits Management Lead

EDT Global are working with an established organisation based in Sydney that are currently looking to engage and experienced BENEFITS MANAGEMENT LEAD CONSULTANT TO JOIN THEM ON A 12MTH CONTRACT BASIS.

The role is responsible for working alongside Department and Program Stakeholders to support the change agenda, stakeholder engagement and communication support to maximise engagement at all levels of business to understand and realise the benefits of our clients Program. The individual will be strong minded, with extensive experience around BENEFITS MANAGEMENT and realisation, IT and Government projects.

SOME OF THE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

- Engage and improve agency stakeholder ownership and commitment and collaboration amongst stakeholders.
- Train initiative-level staff on the application of the approved benefits framework and plan.
- Facilitate benefit workshops with stakeholders to identify, map and validate benefits and non-benefits.
- Implement the approved benefits realisation framework and benefits realisation plan.
- Ensure robust benefit tracking, ownership and reporting is in place, escalating issues where necessary.
- Ensure that all realised benefits are integrated into financial forecasts and annual planning cycles.
- Undertake periodic reviews of benefits as required.
- Continue to build and raise awareness of the value in benefits realisation across the department, in collaboration with the departments PMO.

CANDIDATES MUST HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING:

- Demonstrated experience of working in structured portfolio, program and project management environments, (ideally with practitioner level qualifications in methodologies such as PRINCE2; Managing Successful Programs; P3O; Managing Benefits (APMG) or similar.
- Demonstrated financial and analytical skills with high-level use of tools such as Excel to aid benefits management and reporting.
- Highly developed skills in business partnering, effective collaboration and ability to influence.
- Demonstrated ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong time management skills and outcome driven.
- High level of motivation & a self-starting attitude.
- Work collaboratively in a team environment (knows when to lead & when to follow).
