Benefit Representative

We currently have an exciting consultant opportunity for a Benefit Representative who will process various benefit activities including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance for new hires, as well as life event changes, tuition reimbursement, death claims, domestic partner transactions, etc. This position will be responsible for coordinating individual activities and partnering with the Healthcare Administration Supervisor and other Representatives to support the processing of benefit transactions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Process benefit transactions
Create, update, and close benefits actions and edits
Reconcile benefits and insurance accounts
Tier 2 phone coverage
Tier 1 phone coverage as needed
Ad hoc projects as needed
Overtime as needed

SKILLS:

REQUIREMENTS:
Fully English/Spanish bi-lingual - reads, speaks, and writes both English and Spanish preferred
Completion of some college-level accounting courses preferred
College degree preferred
3 - 5 years of accounting experience preferred
Benefit, HR and/or payroll processing experience preferred
In-house benefit processing experience highly preferred
Strong customer service skills, preferable phone skills
Proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced work environment
Ability to organize, prioritize, and multi-task to achieve performance goals
Ability to accurately analyze complex and detailed data to achieve quality goals
Ability to work individually and as a member of a team
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Advanced-level skills with Microsoft Excel and Word
Must be flexible to work varying hours
