BENCH SCIENTIST III needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in Research Triangle Park, NC.

- Pharmacology

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- The scientist will work with colleagues in Enteroendocrine Discovery Performance Unit and Computational Biology to create a resource of scientific information through text-mining and knowledge retrieval from selected databases to aid in metabolic diseases drug discovery.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- PhD in Biology, Pharmacology, or PhD/MS in Bioinformatics.
- Experience in text-mining.
- Ability to selectively retrieve information from drug discovery relevant databases and information resources.
- Ability to synthesize information and build resources that a wide range of drug discovery scientists can use.

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Knowledge of drug discovery process
- Ability to quickly retrieve information biomedical literature and pharmacology resources.
- Ability to work in cross-Matrix team.
- Ability to respond quickly to time-sensitive requests.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
- Ability to script and use text-mining tools.
- Ability to clearly write reports of findings on a regular basis.
