BENCH SCIENTIST INVESTIGATOR needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Collegeville, PA.

What You'll Be Doing:
- The Tumor Signaling Discovery Performance Unit (TS DPU) in Oncology R&D is in need of a talented professional to hold the primary responsibilities of identification and validation of novel anti-cancer targets, implementation of in vitro and in vivo assays to identify/evaluate small molecule or protein therapeutics, determination of inhibitor's mechanism of action and evaluation of predictive and pharmacodynamic biomarkers.
- Additionally, the individual will interact closely with external scientists as part of research collaborations, contract research, as well as with other scientific disciplines.
- The successful candidate will be part of a team discovering potential new cancer therapies.
- The candidate must be independent, self-starting and supportive of team-based research and able to work effectively in a Matrix organization.

What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- PhD in Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Pharmacology, or related life sciences field.
- Our client is looking for an experienced scientist with cellular cancer biology knowledge and preferably with specific expertise in tumor cell signalling and the discovery and/or development of targeted agents.
- Strong scientific background in cell biology and oncology.
- Demonstrated ability to design, conduct, and analyze cellular and molecular biology experiments for target validation, pharmacology, and identification of predictive markers of response.
- Working knowledge of 'omic methods (eg, sequencing, transcriptomics, and/or proteomics) and databases (eg, Sanger, CCLE, Oncomine and/or similar other databases).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to influence team decision making.
- Independent scientist with a strong background in cancer biology reflected in peer reviewed publications.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a Matrix environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team/Matrix environment.

Bonus Points! Otherwise Known As Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience/knowledge of tumor signalling pathways, including knowledge of the competitive landscape and standard of care treatments for major indications.
- Ability to translate preclinical findings into clinical application.
- Working experience in biochemistry or cellular biochemistry.
- One to three (1-3) years of post-doctoral or work experience.
