Bench Scientist III Job

BENCH SCIENTIST III needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Research Triangle Park, NC.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS SHOULD YOU POSSESS:

- Protein chemistry
- Recombinant proteins
- LC-MS and LC-MS/MS

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Seeking a scientist with capability of performing a wide spectrum of bench work.
- Excellent troubleshooting ability and be capable of independent experimental design.
- Will be able to interpret, analyze and audit data independently.
- Positions work under the direct supervision of the lab manager, technical director, or department head.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Must have B.S./M.S./Ph. D degrees in a laboratory science equivalent.
- Post-graduate work experience (0+ for PhD, 2+ for MS, 5+ for BS) is required.
- In-depth understanding of protein chemistry and strong laboratory skills
- Hands-on experience and in-depth understanding of qualitative and quantitative characterization of recombinant proteins using LC-MS and LC-MS/MS
- The incumbent is expected to be proficient in sample preparation, data analysis, and operation/troubleshooting of at least one of the MS systems: LTQ-Orbitrap, Xevo G2-S, and Triple Quadruple.
- Strong communication skill (oral and written) is a must.
