Bench Scientist Chemist II Job

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a BENCH SCIENTIST CHEMIST II to join our client in Research Triangle Park, NC.

JOB OVERVIEW:

As member of a chemistry team, collaborate with other analytical, synthetic and process chemists to develop analytical methods (HPLC, GC, IC, TLC) to support synthetic route and process development and assist in problem solving and troubleshooting.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Support Pilot Plant activities including method transfers.
- Under direct supervision, perform method development and validation for the characterization of final drug substance and key synthetic intermediates.
- Analyze drug substance for clinical trial supplies and safety assessment studies.
- Keep laboratory notebooks to cGMP.
- Maintain equipment and instruments to state of the art.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- B.S./M.S. degree in Chemistry or a related subject.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience (depending on education) in pharmaceutical industry, in a GMP environment
- Knowledge of analytical chemistry with a focus on separation science techniques along with strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Operational experience with state-of-the-art instrumentation related to chromatographic techniques is also required.
- Demonstrated analytical method development and problem solving skills along with experience and knowledge of GMP/GLP is a plus.
