Batch Engineer & Product Support - z/OS/BMC Control-M (5344)

For a project at our client, an international bank based in Zurich, we are looking for a

BATCH ENGINEER & PRODUCT SUPPORT - Z/OS/BMC CONTROL-M (5344)

In this role you are working in the Batch Product Support, which covers solution design, Life Cycle Management, maintenance, optimization, proactive incident prevention and problem resolution to ensure continued stable batch environment.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

- PROFOUND EXPERIENCE WITH Z/OS AND BMC CONTROL-M ON AN ADMIN LEVEL
- GREAT EXPERIENCE WITH IBM NETVIEW AND SMP SOFTWARE INSTALLATION AS WELL AS TSO
- REXX, DB2 AND BETA92 (ADMIN LEVEL) ARE ONE OF YOUR STRONG SUITS
- Great understanding of Unix and Control-M (for Distributed Systems) is desired
- Communicative and team player personality with a can do attitude
- FLUENT ENGLISH SKILLS (SPOKEN AND WRITTEN) AND GERMAN BEING A PLUS

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Perform end to end Change, Incident & Problem management. 24 x7 and on call Support outside of Business hours
- Install, Upgrade, and Maintain releases of Batch tools in all Development, Testing & Production Environment.
- Engineering, Product and service responsibility for all batch infrastructure components for Mainframe
- Creation and implementation of a concept for the automation of batch software components via modern software request and deployment tools
- Provides solution design, Life Cycle Management, Maintenance, Optimization, Proactive incident prevention and problem resolution
- Infrastructure Administration & Service delivery
- Automation, Innovation and User Support
- Define & maintain global batch scheduling standards & security profiles for Control-M users in compliance with guidelines
- Engineer, design and develop automation, house-keeping, reporting and operational solutions for Batch Environment Optimization
