BASE24 (eps) Support Specialist - Amsterdam

For one of our clients we are looking for a BASE24 (eps) Support Specialist.

Start Date: ASAP

End Date: 31/10/2015

Contract length: 6 months with possibility of extension

Location: Amsterdam

PROJECT:

The client desires to migrate the system functions of the Base24 classic application to the BASE24 eps application which will run on System Z/zOS. This move includes the migration of all connections to external and internal entities.

The migration strategy has been set-up in a way that the old and new system.

The discipline BASE24 Classic/-eps has five main activities in the project context.

1. Deliver support to the Test stream regarding the 5 logical application test environments.

2. Solving (infrastructure) defects in joined effort with ACI and (propose to) implement the solution in the test environments

3. Create/prepare configuration procedures to be used in test environments and during implementation in Production and Business As Usual afterwards

4. Create technical migration run books

5. Create BAU support documentation and procedures

The candidate must have a professional and experienced level of knowledge in the BASE24-eps and Classic area for at least 2 years. Certification is a pre.

He or she will be part of a team in which the ´can do´ mentality under pressure of time is high Expectation is that this person has this ability as well, and is able to team.

The candidate must be able to act independent, pro-active, have good and clear communication skills and be professional in advice and implementation towards his peers, as well as project management.

Technologies involved: DB2, MQ, WebSphere, WinTel and BASE24 Classic/-eps.

Aside these soft skills we are looking for the following technical skills:

BASE24 (Classic) - Must

Base24eps - Must

z/OS - Preferable good knowledge, but a level of understanding the concept is sufficient

ICEXS/XPNET - At least one of these two is a must

JMX - Preferable
