Our client requires a Banner Application Support based in Dublin.
PRIMARY SKILL: Software Development
- Resource planning for up to 10 analysts and developers - aligning resources to projects and tasks within projects.
- Managing Leave Requests and fitting in leave with projects.
- Liaising with the account client manager and service delivery manager on new projects and business development.
- Resourcing for out of hours testing, managing Time off in Lieu for the team.
- Attending TAB/AST calls and problem meetings to provide updates and advice on application related changes or issues.
- Providing proposal input for business development.
- Analysis of new products or upgrades, documentation and gap analysis.
- Maintaining process flows for application support.
- Providing estimates for changes and upgrades.
- Responding to escalations for application support.
- Liaising with technical towers for scheduling changes.
- Understanding a complex infrastructure that spans multiple capabilities.
- Identifying training requirements for the team.
- Keeping abreast of new developments in the Higher Education sector.
- Ensuring the applications team meet SLAs..
Analyst skills:
- Conduct training needs analysis and create and deliver end user training sessions (within the Institutes).
- Create functional specs and release notes
- Has a strong understanding of PL/SQL, to help identify issues in custom code.
- Has a good understanding of Oracle Forms and Reports, is able to use Oracle Developer Suite to identify issues in Forms and Reports.
- Has good knowledge of the baseline Banner database schema
- Strong Understanding of Banner Modules including: Student, CAPP, Accounts Receivable, Web Admissions Webtailor, Self Service Banner, Banner Security
Preferred skills:
- Experience with Banner Web Services
- Experience with the Banner Payment Connector
- Experience with Oracle Business Intelligence/Discoverer.
- Oracle PL/SQL and SQL.
- Oracle Forms and Reports.
- Banner Self Service Engine (SSEN) and Process Rules Engine (PRGN)
