Edelway SA is a Swiss IT Services company offering IT Services to its banking clients in Switzerland.
We are now looking to hire a highly motivated Technical Consultant to join our international team in Geneva as a Banking Applications Support Analyst. English only is required. Strong experience with Unix and SQL Server is required. The Support team in Geneva provides system and business support for all major applications used by front and Middle Office teams throughout the Private Bank worldwide.
You will join a team composed of experienced multi cultural colleagues and you will have the chance to work on critical banking applications. This will be a long term opportunity and we will be particularly interested to hear from local candidate or keen to work in Geneva on a long term basis.
THE ROLE:
* Providing functional support to Operations, Middle Office and Back Office, ie act as first point of contact for user issues, analysing issues, identifying solutions, following-up and communicating until resolution of issues
* Taking ownership of issues raised by all teams of the bank
* Writing scripts to detect system problem
* Handling reengineering projects to reduce the number of incident
* Detailing defect/enhancement solution specifications to issues that have been identified
* Providing feedback to development on application requirements helping to prioritize fixes and liaising with traders for acceptance after researching and diagnosing bugs
* Providing validation checks and confirmations of system changes
YOUR PROFILE:
* Solid experience with Transact SQL Server and UNIX. Expertise in at least two of the preferred tools (Sybase, korn/bash Scripting, Perl, C, C++, C#, Visual Basic, MS Excel/VBA, Java)
* Exposure to change management methodologies and best practices
* Exposure to systems development practices and methodologies
* Knowledge of Banking products
* Experience working within a service delivery function (product support, help desk, post implementation support for projects)
