Banking Application Security Consultant -London -£500- 3-6 month

Gibbs S3 are currently recruiting for an Application Security Consultant with banking experience to join one of our large clients based in London OR The North West. This role is paying £500 per day and is initially a 3 -6 month contract.

Key experience:
* Minimum of 3 years practical experience in software development or IT Security together with experience of managing or leading staff
* Banking Experience is essential
* A high degree of literacy and awareness of application security and information risk principles including regulatory, legislative and industry practices gained through practical experience and/or professional qualification(s);
* Track record of analysing security related situations; articulating security issues and associated risks; making recommendations; influencing outcomes; decision making and ensuring successful delivery;
* Awareness of the technical aspects of application security testing and demonstrable experience in the delivery of such services; and
* Strong communication and influencing skills and the ability to manage internal and external relationships at all levels.

Preferred experience
-the Veracode static analysis and/or HP WebInspect dynamic analysis tools.
-Review of tool output with developers to agree alternate controls/remediation activity.
-Security review of application designs to ensure that security is designed in.
-Strong knowledge of threats and defensive coding techniques for Internet facing applications.
-A background in Penetration Testing or knowledge of web application Firewalls would be beneficial but is not essential.
