Band 6 Crisis & Recovery Nurse - Cumbria

Our client has a job vacancy for a Band 6 Crisis & Recovery Nurse to work in Cumbria. This position has an initial 3 month contract and the pay rate for this role is 24-27 per hour.

Duties -
- Conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments (including full mental state examination, risk issues, psychological issues, self harm, homicide, drugs and alcohol etc) in the A negotiating with other staff and taking charge of shifts as necessary and delegating duties
- Developing and participating in teaching/assessment programmes, learning resources for staff, students, patients and relatives as well as allied staff
- Mentoring learners and supervising junior colleagues
- Auditing the level of assessments conducted both in the A & E department and within the crisis team and presenting recommendations and feedback to team
- Auditing the waiting times in the A&E department and accounting for breaches in four hour waiting times

Requirements -
- All applicants must have a RMN first level registration, valid NMC pin.
- A minimum of 2 years post qualifying experience working within a similar role.
- Understanding by the post holder of their responsibilities under the Mental Health Act 1983.
