Band 6 Camhs Practitioner - West Yorkshire

The opportunity has arisen for a Community Mental Health Practitioner to join a Families First Health Team within the NHS in the West Yorkshire area. The position is Band 6 paying 19ph (Limited Company) working full time Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week) for a duration of 2 months, with likely extension. The service is ideally looking for someone to start as soon as possible.

Responsibilities:
*You will be expected to undertake health and risk assessments identifying needs based on the interpretation of facts and to make a further decision on the appropriate action. *To work with the principles of assertive outreach in engaging with families who may be rejecting mainstream care provision. *To promote families understanding of the importance of their health and well-being and provide ongoing encouragement to enable them to utilise the necessary services. *To asses, plan, implement and evaluate care to children, young people and their families including mental health and risk assessments. *To provide a flexible approach to children young people and their families and carers who may have difficulties engaging with services.

Person Specification:
*Must be a qualified RMN or Social Worker with previous CAHMs or Community experience. *Must hold a full valid driving license and a car is essential to use as part of the job role. *Must be a comfortable, effective and organised lone worker.
