Band 5/6 Primary Care Nurse - Derbyshire

Our client has a job vacancy for a Band 5/6 Primary Care Nurse to work within a prison in Derbyshire. This vacancy has an initial 3 month contract and the pay rate for this role is 20-27 per hour (limited company worker).

Duties:
- Identifying and assessing mental health needs within the prison environment.
- Storing and administering medications in line with the NMC guidelines.
- Looking after prisoners with mental health needs and referring them to appropriate services.
- Undertaking screenings and assessments of patients.
- Following up support of patients using appropriate assessment tools.
- Working with other health care professionals, agencies and prison custody officers within the criminal justice system.

Requirements:
All applicants must be a Registered Mental Health Nurse with a valid up to date NMC pin. Applicants must have previous Prison Health Care experience, as a Registered Mental Health Nurse. Prison clearance is essential.
