Band 5/6 General Nurse - Derbyshire

Our client has a job vacancy for a Band 5/6 General Nurse to work in Derbyshire. This vacancy has an initial 3 month contract and the pay rate for this role is 20-27 per hour (limited company worker).

Duties:
- Assessing the care needs of prisoners.
- Being responsible for the storage and administration of medicines in line with the NMC guidelines.
- Looking after prisoners with mental health needs and referring to appropriate services.
- Performing administrative duties and record keeping.
- Being involved in the screening, assessment and follow up support of patients using appropriate assessment tools.
- Liaising with other health care professionals, agencies and prison custody officers within the criminal justice system.

Requirements:
All applicants must be a qualified RGN, be registered with the NMC and have a valid, up to date pin. You must have at least 2 years recent post qualifying experience working as a nurse within a prison health care setting.
