Backup Engineer EMC avamar SAP wanted for our Bern-based client.
YOUR EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
- BS/BA degree in computer science or relevant practical experience
- 1+ year of experience in administrating backup and recovery software
- Working experience with back up and recovering products, including EMC NetWorker or/and EMC Avamar
- Expertise in varying operating systems for agent and agentless backup configuration
- EMC Data Protection and Management Associate or EMC Backup Recovery Associate certification is of advantage
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken, German would be a big plus
YOUR TASKS:
- Contributing in non-backup and backup recovery operations and administration according to customer requirements
- Working closely with customers, vendors and team members
- Documenting operational processes and procedures to improve support and management of deployed systems
- Providing after-hours support for scheduled maintenance activities
