Backup and Storage Adminstrator

My client is seeking a JUNIOR TO MID-LEVEL STORAGE AND BACKUP ADMINISTRATOR to administer, monitor and support a large storage and data protection environment with an emphasis on data protection (backup and restore services) and general storage administration.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provide administration, monitoring and support functions for the Backup & Recovery Service, including adding Servers to appropriate backup policies, checking for backup failures and investigating/rectifying/rerunning failed backup jobs and coordinating restoration of data when necessary
- Maintain appropriate revision levels of software & firmware products
- Monitor, escalate and manage resolution of hardware failures associated with tape library infrastructure
- Assist with other storage management duties as directed

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Very good NETBACKUP V7.X ADMINISTRATION EXPERIENCE in a large enterprise environment
- Experience with maintaining Fibre Channel connected tape libraries
- Good storage administration experience for Fibre Channel connected storage arrays for one or more of the following technologies: IBM XIV, NetApp, EMC VNX
