Backup and Recovery - SME

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Daily administration with the AVAMAR backup tool.
-

AVAMAR Server/Client and Administrator console installation.
-

Server/Client installation on different platforms (Unix/Windows/Linux). Knowledge in managing Domains, Clients, Users through AVAMAR Administrator console.
-

Good knowledge on DR and restoring backups based on requirement. Configuring Events, Notifications
-

Strong Knowledge De-duplication & VTL's Backup performance monitoring & optimization Capacity utilization trending and reporting
-

Configuring/Managing VMware backups.
-

Responsible for advanced troubleshooting of backup and recovery related issues.
-

Backup Infrastructure for FS, MSSQL & Oracle database using Avamar and perform end to end setup and execute the necessary use cases and test-cases on it in order to optimize the performance.

KEY SKILLS:

-

Knowledge on NETBACKUP Administration
- Working knowledge of AVAMAR
-

IP Network, WAN and LAN free (SAN) based data backup design and configuration
-

Data protection and backup recovery solutions familiarity such as using virtual tape, disk to disk to tape, data replication
-

Experience in managing SAN on heterogeneous environment (Unix/Windows)
-

Unix and/or Windows systems administration experience
-

File System and Database Familiarity
-

Should be familiar with ITIL processes
