Our client requires the services of a Backup Administrator with solid DPA  - Data Protection Advisor experience for a contract role based in Cheshire.

Responsibilities of the role:

- Lead the integration of DPA into the existing infrastructure
- Provision of knowledge transfer and mentoring to the team for DPA
- Design and configuration of the new backup infrastructure, including definition of policies.
- Working to define SLAs and increase utilization of the infrastructure investment.
- Working to define incident and problem management activities.
- Participating in Root Cause Analysis reviews as applicable.
- Monitoring backup activity for the in-scope environment.
- Working to define backup policies and the process for policy changes.
- Participating in the planning, approval, and implementation of approved change management requests.
- Define and lead backup capacity measurement and planning activities.
- Assisting with detailed technical planning for future initiatives.
- Recommending changes to procedures, which result in operational optimization and improved SLAs.
- Lead the production of operational documentation.
- Preparing a documented backup management policy and/or architecture process improvement report that outlines operational, technical, or support areas that could be significantly improved.
