Backoffice Application Tester

Projektbeschreibung
The contract is with a large consultancy to be on assignment at a European site in Stockholm. The client is seeking a Backoffice Application Tester with excellent understanding of system administration (SharePoint, Active Directory, MS SQL, Exchange) so that the consultant can carry out some of his own bug fixing without always contacting 2nd or 3rd level support.
The consultant will work within the Back Office group in the ICT Infrastructure section and will test applications before they are deployed on the production environment. The majority of applications will be SharePoint and/or .Net.
Tasks:
The consultant will participate in the ICT projects of the operational units and carry out functional and integration testing and corresponding tasks to support the life cycle of the applications and systems and to facilitate the integration of new applications in the ICT environment.
. Deploy and test (mainly SharePoint) applications and patches in a testing environment, ie. prepare test plans and conduct testing and debugging to proactively identify bugs in application code during the construction phase as well as the validation and integration phase of the software development life cycle including use of automated testing tools
. independently work on troubleshooting issues in the ICT integration test environment related to the applications under test
. setup Active Directory and MS Exchange test accounts
. setup test databases in MS SQL Server
. create test cases based on use cases provided
. create test scripts
. register and track issues using Team Foundation Server
. provide reports about the tests conducted
. contribute to the maintenance and expansion of a test environment for integrated testing of the various applications developed
. support the integration of new systems into the existing environment
Knowledge and experience:
. knowledge and experience in creating test plans and cases and their execution
. knowledge of Active Directory, SharePoint, SQL and Exchange
. experience in troubleshooting in a Microsoft environment
. experience in working in a test team, cooperating and communicating with developers and administrators
. experience with Team Foundation Server 2010/2012
. Test methodologies, especially SCRUM
. experience in different testing types
