CONTRACT - 6 MONTHS + EXTENSIONS POSSIBLE

DATA Inc Switzerland is looking for a Backend Engineer/Systems Engineer (Unix/Wintel) with Financial Services sector experience primarily for a client project based in Zurich.  The role focuses on contributing to the design and implementation of archiving solutions for communication data as well as the respective maintenance and 3rd level support.

Responsibilities include:

- Hands-on project implementation and 3rd level support tasks
- Liaison with Business Analysis to contribute to requirements engineering process and respective reviews
- Work in close cooperation with IT Architecture and IT Security to agree on the design of any major change planned aligned with the solution's strategy and architectural principles
- Conduct effort estimates for the project's engineering and integration tasks as well as for the anticipated 3rd level support
- Liaise with IT Production to agree on technical documentation to be delivered and other operational requirements to be met

REQUIREMENTS

- Successful candidates should strong experience in similar roles with excellent technical and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to understand client partners' requirements and quickly resolve any potential issue in the productive environment.
- Expected to have a successful track record in a similar environment for both of the two disciplines in scope here:
- e2e software development life cycle with focus on the integration of 3rd party components
- incident management, problem analysis in a complex environment with remote, multi-tiered installations
- Must have an in-depth knowledge and experience in the following areas:
-  UNIX (Solaris, Linux) and Wintel experience as a system engineer
-  SQL, XML, Perl, Shell Scripting, packaging, configuration management
-  Oracle product expertise, RDBMS modelling and development (PL/SQL), DBA experience would be a plus
-  Exchange Server (2003/2007/2010), including SMTP Mail flow, Email Routing, Envelope Journaling
-  Data management and migration
-  Storage and archiving solutions, product knowledge of OpenText (LEA, CM)
-  IT Security (authentication, authorization, cryptography, certificate mgmt., etc.)
