Back Office .NET Developer - European Deployments

Daily Rate: €400 - negotiable with experience

CONTEXT OF THE POSITION
The Retail & Marketing Center of Excellence is responsible for the realization of regional solutions, also called Templates. By realization, it is meant the configuration, development, interfacing of regional Retail and Marketing applications (for both in-store and Head-Quarters). The team is also responsible for application change/configuration management and system governance. Key partners includes, but is not limited to, local (country-specific) IT Demand teams Retail & Marketing, Business, external vendors/integrators, and other IT Teams such as other CoEs like Digital, basis, infrastructure and security.
The Retail Back Office developer will be part of the Center of Excellence Retail and Marketing and will integrate our existing Back Office development team. He/she will be reporting to the Retail Back Office Team Leader
The Back Office solution is now deployed in France, Belgiumexpected duration is around 12 months with potential extension.

OBJECTIVE AND TASKS
The Retail Back Office developer will:
Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices
Test new functionalities developed, ensuring high-quality deliverables
Integrate data from various Back End services, databases and devices
Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs
Create and maintain software documentation
Maintain and support existing software systems by identifying and correcting software defects

PROFILE DETAILS
Education and training
Bachelor degree in Information Technology sciences

Experience
Mandatory prior experience of minimum 5-10 years in a related work experience, in an international environment.
Top-notch programming skills and in-depth knowledge of .NET and SQL Server
Adequate knowledge of relational database systems, Object Oriented Programming and Web-Services development
Aptitude and willingness to acquire technical understanding
Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service (change management, release management, incident management)
Experience in both small and large projects, in a Matrix organization and virtual teams
Experience with retail Back Office projects

Experience in Data Exchange and Synchronization projects will be considered an asset
Knowledge of POS solutions will be considered an asset
Knowledge of any Retail Back Office solutions will be considered an asset

Languages
Excellent command of the English language both written & spoken.
Knowledge of French and/or Dutch and/or Greek and/or Romanian and/or Serbian will be considered an asset
