Next Ventures are currently executing a search for an experienced Azure SME cloud architect for a new (Big Data Analytic programme).

You will lead all technical aspects of the clients cloud and hosting portfolio including: public and private cloud product offerings.

Essential Experience for this Azure Cloud Solution Architect position:

Solution Design/Architecture

Product & Solutions Development

Infrastructure Management knowledge of MS Exchange, MS SQL and/or MS Lync would be ideal as would a working knowledge of VMWare and Linux technologies.

Deep experience with deploying MS Azure solutions

Full Life cycle project experience of installing Azure.

Maintenance of Azure

Data Centre and Cloud migration projects, across the discovery, design, planning and implementation phases

Knowledge of traditional' infrastructure layers and Data Centre technologies: Network, Compute and Storage systems and virtualisation experience.

Knowledge of AWS and Azure Cloud Services and capabilities and how existing services could be mapped, as well as related migration methods

Understand integration factors, especially when running a Hybrid model

Able to analyse and produce application/service design documentation, maps, dependencies where they are not in existence

Knowledge of application design across both Wintel and Linux stack

Experience in application dependency mapping, remediation, consolidation & hosting platform migration

Knowledge or Awareness of DevOps/Agile process

Awareness of Enterprise Architecture Frameworks (eg TOGAF, Zachman)

Architect - You will need Design and Build skills within Azure, Set up of Azure and maintenance. Datacentre relocation work, strong documentation and technical design skills, writing Technical and functional specifications, ability to pull together how an engagement works for the client. This is quite a senior role with high level Azure design work.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate has a strong background in Cloud Architecture, and deep knowledge of the Service and Support organizations, processes and tools.

Excellent communication skills, a self-starter, self-directed, individual who is able to respond to changing business needs, rapidly adapt and overcome challenges, and provide thought Architectual leadership and innovative problem solving.

SME Cloud Solutions (AZURE)

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of success as a lead Cloud Architect with outstanding collaboration skills across various departments to achieve mutual success.

Specific Qualification:

5+ years' experience delivering large project and readiness efforts, executing readiness strategies and frameworks, defining readiness/project/program plans and executing on those plans to deliver business results.

2-3+ years' experience with Cloud Azure Architecture or related role.

Proven communication skills and ability to effectively influence colleagues and management.

Demonstrated ability to deliver results, meeting and exceeding expectations.

Skills in problem resolution, team building, dealing with ambiguity, establishment of effective processes, tracking results and support systems.
