AX Controls Consultant, £375 p/d, Birmingham, 3 months

The client I am working with requires a Controls consultant to come into their project and hit the ground running. Experience as an auditor is very beneficial, and a qualification in Accounting is necessary.

Key Accountabilities

- Document the control environment, with an emphasis on financial control
- Provide expertise on design and fulfilment of reliable controls, as they apply to Enterprise Resource Planning systems, providing a consulting service to support Management in discharging their accountabilities in respect of internal control
- Work closely with Business Analysts and process owners to develop internal controls across a range of shared service processes (Finance, HR, IT etc.)
- Review the coherence between existing group policies and the operations of the ERP Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

- Qualified CCAB accountant or equivalent internal audit qualification (Essential)
- Experience of operating as an auditor in a complex organisation (Essential)
- Knowledge of technology as it applies to complex integrated accounting and operational systems (Essential)
- Knowledge of the implementation of ERP systems (Desirable)
- Strong communication skills, written & oral, with the ability to establish trusted relationships and engage and influence colleagues and stakeholders across the Society (Essential)
- Commercially minded with a specific focus on customer service (Essential)
- A good understanding of the business operations of a complex organisation (Essential).
