AWS DEVELOPER - AMAZON WEB SERVICES DEVELOPER

Our client is looking to recruit the services of an AWS Developer to provide core AWS implementation and configuration capabilities on a number of important projects.

Responsibilities include:

- Detailed design and implementation of AWS cloud technologies 
- Server, application and network configuration and administration 
- Scripting of deployment and management processes for both infrastructure and application components 
- Contribution to and enforcement of technical standards and best practices 
- Technical investigation and problem resolution for AWS solutions 

Technical Characteristics

- Professional development experience combined with a keen interest in DevOps and infrastructure
- Practical Scripting experience
- Chef or Puppet 
- Shell Scripting in Linux/Unix 
- Windows PowerShell 
- AWS CloudFormation 
- Installation, configuration and hands-on system administration skills for both Windows and Linux 
- Experience working with multi-tier, high-availability infrastructure architectures in an Enterprise environment 
- Experience with a broad range of application and infrastructure technologies including: 
- Web technologies (web services, XML, JSON etc.) 
- Database technologies (SQL, data backup/restoration, replication, NoSQL etc.) 
- Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, reverse proxies, routing etc.) 
- Enterprise security (Firewall configuration, IPS/IDS, encryption etc.) 
- SAN and storage (RAID configuration, caching etc.) 
- Experience creating detailed infrastructure design documents 
- Familiarity with a process driven working environment
