AVP, Quantitative Investment Risk Analyst-Boston, MA

A leading international financial services firm in Boston is looking for a quantitative investment risk analyst to work alongside a team of senior consultants to design portfolio risk analytics for the company's cash management business.

In the role, you will not only design, but analyze and optimize the quality of the risk assessment through data checking and instrument modeling. You will need to understand and communicate the various risks that pertain to short-term cash instruments as well as develop mastery over both the asset class and risk activities of these funds. The position requires working alongside the IT and Operation teams in order to assure the accuracy of your risk and analytics process and you will also be expected to report regularly to a number of oversight organizations with regards to these processes.

Strong candidates will have previous knowledge of fixed income, capital markets, and securities lending as well as the ability to investigate and solve data consistency and reliability issues. Candidates should have good project management skills and proven ability to work independently on multiple projects. As you will be in continuous contact with a number of internal and external groups, excellent communication skills are also essential.

Ideal candidates will have:

* MBA or CFA preferred
* Familiarity with vendor provided systems such as Bloomberg and FactSet
* Knowledge of R or other high-level programming languages such as VB, Python, or MATLAB
* Experience with SQL a plus
