AVP Application Developer: Finance One of the world's leading financial services providers is urgently seeking an AVP Applications Developer. In this position the developer will work on a sophisticated electronic trading system built on Oracle, Hibernate, and Spring on the server side and state-of-the-art web 2.0 on the front end. The Application Developer will be an expert of modern web UI technologies including object oriented javascript and advanced CSS. The candidate will be working on the UI which is built on Ext JS. Strong knowledge and experience with Java programming, especially core Java is highly desirable. Qualifications: * Strong knowledge and experience with object oriented JavaScript and CSS is essential; Ext JS expertise is highly desirable. * Solid experience with core Java and Java web technologies. * Excellent communication skills. The Application Developer is expected to work closely with business members of the development and QA team. * Prior financial experience desirable. The AVP Application Developer is a developer position not a web designer who can not program. This is an exciting opportunity for an Application Developer to join a cutting edge technology team with a product that is experiencing rapid growth. This position is based in downtown Boston.
