Avionics Maintenance Manager

This is a job opportunity within Government for a long term contract and an ideal opportunity to network.

You will be an Avionics maintenance Manager for rotary wing aircraft, therefore experience in this area is essential, both on the hands on sense and an understanding of the managerial side.

Responsibilities 

As Lynx Eng Av3b you are responsible to Lynx Eng Av for the In Service Support of specified Lynx Mk 7, 8 and 9A avionic and associated Weapons equipment by acting as Engineering Authority (EA) and Support Authority (SA), as required for those equipemts, in particular ARI 5979 Seaspray Radar, ARI 23437 Sea owl PID and Lynx Mk 9A specific avionics.

EA key responsibilities

(1) Assisting Lynx EngAv in his responsibilities as EA for Lynx aircraft by monitoring
day to day activities of the fleet through Occurrence Reports, generated reports and returns,
variations in tasking patterns, trends arising and close liaison with other
engineering agencies.

(2) Responsible for the support of Lynx Mk 9A Platform Electrical and Avionic systems introduced under the Lynx Mk 9A upgrade, subsequent Lynx Mk 9A ADO modification programs, SIFF and ADO supported communication systems fitted on all Lynx platforms. Also the EA/SA responsibilities associated with supporting Lynx Mk 8 Seaspray and Sea Owl equipments.

(3) Collating statistical data as directed.

(4) Progression, administration and technical validation of Design Authority (DA)
Technical Instruction (SI and STI's).

(5) Carry out technical assessment, progression and administration of Narrative
Fault Reports, associated Investigation Reports (MOD form 760 series) and Unsatisfactory Feature Reports (Mod Form 765/765X as directed, including:

a. Distribution of Mod Forms 760, 760A, 761 and 765/765X.

b. Ensuring that MOD Forms 761 are completed by the EA for presentation to
the Faults Committee.

c. Represent Lynx EngAv for systems you are responsible for at Faults Committee meeting.

d. Assist EngAv in assessing MF 765/765X for onward action/rejection.

(6) Carry out in-service monitoring of the Reliability and Maintainability (R&M) performance of Lynx electrical and avionic components and systems against that specified in the Contract Specification. To provide formal R&M reports as required and to inform Lynx EngAv where performance falls below that required.

(7) Preparation of Technical Instructions (UTI's & RTI's) in response to Serious Fault Reports (SFR) or other engineering requirement, including Annex A's and B's.

(8) Responding to general engineering queries from user units and other sections of the Lynx PT.
