LOCATION - Yeovil and Bristol
RATE - Circa £40/hour Depending on Experience
CONTRACT - 3 months
MAIN DUTIES:
- Apply System logic, including system engineering principles such as validation and life cycle management
- Assist the tailoring and/or development and implementation of standard operating procedures to support Airworthiness Assurance activities and deliverables, including close liaison with UK customer to agree joint procedures and plans.
- Plan, control and deliver assigned projects or work packages. Contribute as required across functional/project investigations; ensuring delivery to plan.
- Create and prepare and review strategy, planning and proposal documentation
- Evaluate technical issues in order to develop proposals for investigations and/or solutions.
- Review information, gathering evidence and writing reports
- Provide effective support to stakeholders/customers in assigned areas, delivering solutions to meet their needs and requirements.
- Coordinate and manage Stakeholders both within the business, Suppliers and Internally
- Organise, chair, minute meetings with stakeholders
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience and knowledge of aircraft systems; mechanical and avionic
- Good working knowledge of MAA MRP
- Good understanding and experience in the maintenance of platform and systems airworthiness throughout a product life cycle.
- Understanding and experience of collation and management of certification and qualification evidence and documents to support platform airworthiness certification
- Significant amounf of Engineering related work experience and recognised training
- Experience with the either the Chinook or other rotorcraft platforms is highly desirable
ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE
- Experience of working in an MoD Project Team or front-line support environment
- Knowledge of the AOF and CADMID life cycle
- Knowledge of ILS principles, disciplines and products, in particular; supportability related collation, data mining, analysis and reporting within the aviation environment
- Working knowledge of safety (Safety Management Systems SMS) as applied within aviation
