Aviation Test Planning Engineering Job

An AVIATION TEST PLANNING ENGINEER is needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Vandalia, OH.

TOP SKILLS SHOULD YOU POSSESS:

- Develop and deliver the Back-up Electrical Power System (BEPS) for implementation on the B-777X.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Reviews FAA/Boeing requirements for certification and translates these requirements to BEPS procedures
- Lead the team to develop to:
- Prepares new qualification/acceptance test procedures or updates existing documents
- Reviews test equipment/facilities capabilities and availability to accomplish certification
- Where organic test capability is unavailable, identifies external capabilities to augment capability
- Creates an overall master plan for qualification/acceptance test in support of the overall BEPS development schedule
- Works with the Program Manager to identify equipment must purchase to facilitate qualification/acceptance testing; prepares draft procurement documents as necessary
- Works with the Program Manager to identify facility upgrades/modifications must implement to facilitate qualification/acceptance testing; prepares draft procurement documents as necessary
- Works with Program Manager to prepare draft procurement documents to acquire outside test support
- Identifies 3rd party test capabilities to augment test capabilities.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Five (5) years experience in Aviation Test Planning Engineering
- Want someone who has gone through the process of creating/developing/planning/strategizing testing procedures for a new program
- Must be a strategic thinker, able to plan, implement and create master plan for testing BEPS
- Knowledge of Fundamental Electrical power generation principles for Aviation
- Experience in an Aerospace engineering environment strategizing, planning, implementing testing programs
- Requires Extensive knowledge in testing principles for qualification and acceptance purposes for FAA certification
- Customer and airline business principles
- Team leadership
- Sufficient Mechanical/electrical Aptitude to understand the BEPS basic principles
- Good record keeping
- Organization and planning experience
- Working in a team situations; good interpersonal skill
- Microsoft Office skills
- Effective oral and written communication - must be able to and have experience in writing testing procedures and reports and strategic planning documents
- Problem solving and troubleshooting
- This is a six (6) month contract, paying $38 per hour.
