Automotive Resident Senior Engineer

WA Consultants has 2 urgent requirements for our Client, an Embedded Software & Connected Systems Company.

Our Client is working with the world's largest car makers and Tier 1s to develop their next generation automotive systems. For any technical or business challenge, our Clients' automotive solutions team offers a valuable blend of skills, contacts, knowledge, intellectual property, flexible resources, design processes, tools, and a CMMI level 3 project management methodology to get the job done.

In this instance our Client needs 2 Resident Senior Engineers.

Responsibilities include the following:
Technical Support to the OEM/Tier 1
*Support: High priority defect resolution: investigate issues of diverse scope, analyse and evaluate factors, collaborate with remote engineering team to find creative solutions
*Integration: Assist OEM in delivery process from our Client to the OEM. Primary participant for on-site integration camps.
*Support OEM meetings as technical subject matter expert
*Assist project manager to prioritise support as needed
Engineering Liaison
*Primary technical interface between customer and remote engineering team
*Assist our Clients' Automotive Architects with requirements engineering tasks. eg gathering user requirements, inputting requirements, coordinating meetings with relevant stakeholders, and assisting with change management.

Requirements:
*Experience in the area of Automotive Entertainment industry
*A good few years hands-on engineering experience with hardware and/or Embedded software design
*Knowledge of vehicle networking (CAN, MOST, etc)
*Experience in a standard software development process model (CMM, CMMI, Spice, etc)
*Product life cycle experience preferably in a resident/application engineering role.
*Knowledge of requirements engineering tools such as Visure, Doors, MKS, etc..
*Direct customer interface experience with track record of achieving high levels of customer satisfaction
*Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
*Work on-site at customer is required. Occasional travel may be required.
