Rate: Up to 25.64/hr Ltd Co. Dependant on Experience.

Our premium brand Automotive client is currently recruiting for the following role:

Division:
Body Engineering.

Position Description:
Project Engineer, Body Engineering.
Prime interface to the vehicle line programme team, responsible for delivering requirements on time, to quality, from Pre Product Start to Job1.

Support the team in the planning, co-ordination, delivery and reporting of requirements to support the Cycle Plan programmes and Cycle Plan studies, using Product Development System principles in conjunction with other company processes as required.

Manage conflict and issue resolution internal to the department and cross function.

Manage programme health status using key programme metrics.

Lead and manage the input to weekly Programme Steering Team and Vehicle Integration Team meetings and drive the team in the use of tools and processes to manage the completion of deliverables for programme unit gateways.

Work closely with other areas within the organisation to ensure the programme delivers the expected prescribed product actions in a robust manner.

Financial planning with respect to budget management and business case project planning or product cost estimating targets within vehicle programmes.

Skills Required:
- Proven project management capability, demonstrated by recent delivery on time & budget.
- Excellent communications skills.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels.
- PC Literacy : Microsoft Project, Power Point, Excel, Word etc.
- Ability to deliver with minimum supervision.
- Ability to lead the resolution of business, technical and process issues within a Project Team environment.

Skills Preferred:
- Working knowledge of project delivery processes - GPDS / FPDS / PRINCE2 or similar.
- A good working knowledge of Change Control, Product Definition and Change Management processes are desirable.

Experience Required:
- Successful history of project management delivery.
- Engineering knowledge of Body Engineering system design, function, performance, production & manufacturing requirements.
- Significant experience in use of engineering tools - FMEA, Six Sigma, problem resolution etc.

Experience Preferred:
- Ideally experienced within the automotive sector or adjacent industries, eg. Rail, aerospace, defence, energy etc.
- Experience in commonality & complexity management would be beneficial.

Education Required:
Ideally degree educated.
