Automation Tools Specialist

My client a global leader in its field requires an Automation Tools Specialist to provide high level expertise in Software Automation Tooling and Architecture, within an Agile framework.

The main purpose of the role is to support the current implementation of HPQC v10 and implement enhancements and customisations to the application while providing constant improvements to the usability. Furthermore you will be responsible for validation, proof of concepts, integration design, and implementation adoption planning of tools to produce the best value outcome.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for determining functional and non-functional requirements based on expertise in Automated Software Delivery and tooling, whilst acting as a Subject Matter Expert in Automated Software Delivery and tooling as required.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience from working within a similar role and will be capable of dealing with a range of difficult or very complex issues often requiring them to lead or have functional responsibility for a number of related procedures

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

- Capable of working within a small team with large stakeholder base
- Very good communication skills (both written and oral)
- Exposure to Agile methodologies
- Detailed knowledge of SQL
- VB Scripting
- VBA Scripting
- XML
- HTML
- Detailed knowledge of QC
- Detailed knowledge of QC API
- Basic knowledge of Web Services
- Basic knowledge of BMC Remedy
- Basic knowledge of Rally
