Automation Tester - 3 Months - Plymouth

large client based in Plymouth is looking for an Automation Tester for a 3 months contract ASAP.

Main Duties:

* Create tests, including identifying the expected result for, agreed Test Focus Areas, using the appropriate test tools
* Schedule and execute the tests, including non user interface tests.
* Analyse results against the pre-determined expected results and undertake initial analysis of failed tests and liaise with other technical teams
* Create and maintain suitable test data, managing the back-up and restores as necessary
* When required determine which tests to create by analysing requirements documentation
* Create and maintain an automated test suite for each product worked on
* Develop effective automation practices and ensure that skills and knowledge required to develop these in future is passed to the staff

Specific Skills and experience:

* Demonstrable experience in testing in a variety of environments including at Enterprise level
* Experience in automating testing to include either data, behaviour or test driven approaches
* An understanding of and experience using one or some of the following: Cucumber, Capybara, Selenium, QTP or Loadrunner
* Time management skills and a proven ability to deliver to tight deadlines
* Proven ability to train and mentor others

* ISTQB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing

Desirable:

* Experience of working in an Agile environment (Scrum, Kanban or Lean)
* Experience in Performance testing
