Automation Tester

Currently one of my op clients is in urgent need of an Automation Tester who will join their team on a long term contract position based in Brussels, Belgium.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Advocate for quality within cross-functional development teams
- Actively coach developers on test automation best practices
- Improve UI functional test coverage
- Contribute to our test frameworks and services
- Coordinate testing efforts to ensure the delivery of quality features
- Contribute to Spotify's long term vision and strategy for QA and Test Automation
- Maintain test reporting and visualization
- Make testing an integral part of the development process
- Report bugs and follow them through the complete bug cycle
- Look for opportunities to work testing automation and quality into the product development process

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

- You are experienced in software testing
- You are experienced with agile methodologies and understand what it means to have a quality mindset in an agile environment
- You can justify why agile teams should have a dedicated QA role
- You have a passion or experience to test in CI/CD mode
- You have fair knowledge of CI systems to create builds, ideally in Jenkins and have little knowledge on tool CA RA
- You have experience working with major UI testing frameworks in at least one of the following domains: web, Android, iOS
- You are a strong collaborator and contributor to any team
- You have shown an ability to advocate for quality across functional teams
