POSITION DETAILS

GTN Technical Staffing is seeking an Automation Test Engineer for a 3-6M C2H opportunity in Richardson, TX.  The Test Engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting and correcting technical issues within complex and robust .NET applications. The primary functions of the Test Engineer are ensuring that the code being produced by the software engineers on the team is meeting the acceptance criteria of the business and delivering automated tests that verify this. This role will be on a small team of three developers. The application is designed much like the Yahoo Finance Application where stock and trade information is displayed to the end-user. The goal of this Application is to create a seamless and effective user experience while maintaining optimal functionality. This role will be heavily involved in the testing phase of the SDLC.

- 80% Ground-Up Automation Testing
- 20% Manual Testing

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

4+ years of experience in the following skill sets

- Automation Testing - Ground-up Creation of Test Cases/Scripts
- Automation Testing Tools - NUnit/TFS - Team Foundation Server
- Create Ground-Up C# Code to Script Automation Test Scripts/Plans/Cases
- Utilize/Create Test Fixtures in C# to Manage Testing/Code Execution
- Interface with Developers to offer C#.NET Code Suggestions/Modifications
- Unit/Regression/White Box Testing
- Web Server/Automated Testing Tools - (PREFERRED: FitNesse)
- SQL Server 2005/2008/R2 - T-SQL/Stored Procedures/Functions/Joins/Triggers
- SCRUM/Agile Methodology

- Financial Markets/Trading Experience
