Automation Engineer Senior

Automation Engineer Senior wanted for our Basel based client in the pharmaceutical sector.

YOUR EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

- 5+ years' working experience in systems engineering, automation or development, preferably in pharmaceutical or biotech area
- Expertise in the following technologies is a must: VMware, ESX, vCOPS, vRealize Automation, vRealize Orchestrator, Chef, Jenkins, Ruby, Javascript,Python and PowerShell
- Knowledge in AWS components, Solarwinds, ELK, Linux, Windows, DNS, LDAP, AD, Kickstart, YUM, Bitbucket, Git and IPAM is advantageous
- Experience with FOSS software solutions and integrating open source software
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken

YOUR TASKS:

- Developing and maintaining automated workflows for the informatics infrastructure as well as a portfolio of automation tools leveraging several technologies, primarily vRA, vRO and Chef
- Providing technical leadership and knowledge to guide solution development
- Managing technical evaluations, POCs and make technology recommendations
- Analysing existing solutions to understand performance, functionality and technical problems
- Developing technical solutions that meet customer requirements and security baselines while aligning with an overall technical roadmap
- Documenting existing and new technical solutions and requirements
